An elegant proscenium style theatre seating 984 patrons on two levels, The Nash theatre is the home to the RVCCArts performing arts season as well as multiple community and college events throughout the year. With ample wing and backstage areas, the theatre can accommodate large touring theatre and music shows. The lobby provides a welcoming atmosphere with areas for concession and pre-show activities.The theatre also has a fully staffed box office and offers in person and online ticketing.
The Welpe Theatre is the site of most of the events presented by the Visual and Performing Arts Department. Since 1985, this flexible space has also been host to jazz cabaret’s, intimate performances, meetings, meals and other functions.
The Welpe Theatre is named for Dennis J. Welpe, II. In 1984, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis J. Welpe, made a generous contribution toward the construction of the theatre complex, in memory of their son.
