About Us

Our Story

In early 1985, the Edward Nash Theatre opened with a diverse, week-long festival of events to celebrate the theatre’s completion and to highlight its promise of presenting a variety of quality events in years to come. Offerings in the 29 seasons since have been no less varied or spectacular.

Audiences have been treated to performers and performances like David Sedaris, Harlem Boys Choir, American Repertory Ballet, Moscow Ballet’s The Great Russian Nutcracker, Judy Collins, The Peking Acrobats, Sally Struthers, The Gatlin Brothers, comedians Paula Poundstone and Colin Quinn and The Paul Taylor Dance Company among many others.

The theatre is named for the late Edward Nash, who was a founding RVCC Trustee, President of the College Foundation and principal fundraiser for the theatre/library building project.
