Mechanical wonders, circus gadgetry, and astonishing acrobatics are all part of Cirque Mechanics’ new show Zephyr: A Whirlwind of Circus, inspired by the power of the wind and the human ingenuity that goes into harnessing it. Fall under the spell of turning gears and whooshing sails in this tale about the unrelenting tug-of-war between man and nature.
Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience is the nation’s most innovative and unique show utilizing the works of the Beatles. Through requests and memories, Yesterday and Today tells the audience’s story using the Beatles catalogue. Every show is different, every show is interactive and Yesterday and Today proves that the Beatles music truly is the soundtrack to our lives.
Finding North brings to life the powerful stories of the strivings, sacrifices and dreams of John P. Parker, a former enslaved man who dedicated his life to helping enslaved people escape through the Underground Railroad in southern Ohio. Drawn from historical research, Parker’s tale is woven together with verbatim interview material and oral histories from contemporary community members who tell their stories of searching for haven.
Doktor Kaboom is having trouble picking his favorite science demonstrations, so he’s bringing them all! Doktor Kaboom has built a great big spinning wheel and labeled it with everything from optical illusions to chemical reactions to a homemade hovercraft, and more! At least a dozen fantastic demonstrations ready to go. Wherever the wheel stops, that’s what’s next!
It’s Okay to Be Different - Stories by Todd Parr features an innovative approach to puppetry manipulation and construction, combined with playful original music for which Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia has earned worldwide praise. With his signature blend of playfulness and sensitivity, Todd Parr explores important and timely subjects.
